Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama has his own silver bullet to control the unruly civil servant (PNS) and freelancer under Jakarta Provincial Government.

"I will fire those who are lazy to work. We still have other qualified employees outside," he asserted, Thursday (3/10).

He said there is no tolerance for employees who are lazy. Right now, the low-class staff could bring Rp 12-Rp 13 million per month if they work well.

"Every headman can bring Rp 30-40 million per month. I also give fund aid to mayor by Rp 50 million for operational, so it reaches more than Rp 100 million per month. Section Head (echelon-IV) can bring Rp 30 million per month," he expressed.

As for the headman, they can get additional income from tax restaurant in their area. However, Basuki confirmed, his party will demote the unruly headman.

"So, the headman task is estate manager. If there is found garbage, puddle, etc, they must be able to solve it," he stressed.
